What SOLDIERS OF THE CROSS Is All About

Soldiers of the Cross began as a "snail-mail" prison ministry three and a half years ago. We started out by getting inmates names from the VVA, Saber, DAV and others. In time, that blossomed into a ministry under the direction of the Lord. We are a dual site; that being Christian and Veteran. By no means do we get into doctrinal issues, neither is a person discriminated against if he/she is an unbeliever. We are all here for the same purpose and that is to help our forgotten warriors, many of whom are highly decorated veterans. They are even more forgotten than our MIA/POW'S and KIA's and they are doing time in a lonely war just like the in the Nam. The fate of these men is that they are POW's in-country in OUR country and many are getting worse treatment because of the "Crazy Nam Vet Scenario" label that the media has labeled us with. There is no judgement here at Soldiers of the Cross. It's a free-for-all and there is no Bible thumping, for those who have that concern. I have been given two nic's-"The Pistol Packin Preacher" and "The Hep Preacher". I am a street person as in "street wise" and this is a tool that the Lord has allowed me to retain to get in "the muck" to do His work. In our three and a half years we have operated solely out of my comp check and made it thus far with the Lord's help. We have not asked for donations nor love offerings and we are not 501C3 and don't plan to be unless this growth goes beyond our current capabilities. You will find our address below. We are open to more names so if you know a Brother who is an inmate that could use some mail give us his address with his permission. Thank you for uplifting a Brother!
